Does anyone know about a migraine Phenomonon?
I wonder if anyone has information about a condition called migraine phenomonon. The reason why I ask is because I went to see a doctor in relation to the numbness in my head. I told the doctor exactly what happened to me, and he I recommended a TAC. Well, he called me and said the analysis was normal and so was my blood work. Then I said I had what they call a phenomonon migraine. I had never heard of him, but I'm a little scared that something like my previous episode that could happen again. I am a mother of two children and have a good time in my car. I fear that there might be a new episode behind the wheel of my car or here at home with my babies. Not sure if anyone can help me but if you have any advice would be very grateful. Please help if you can!
From what I can get on the web, a "phenomenon of migraine" is another term for a "migraine acephalgic" ie acephalgic "without headache." for some unknown reason, the brain will not produce the characteristic headache. can be produced by some of the same migraine triggers as regular, but find the triggers is a matter of trial and error. migraines not always have a food or environmental trigger but what can be otherwise. if the CT scan and blood tests were normal, have you had then review eyes lately? Eye exams should be done every 12 months. not necessary to use a prescription or improper use can cause headaches, migraines and possibly, you are having. I remember in high school when I went to the doctor about my first migraine, which was the first thing I did do an eye exam. and yes, I needed glasses. but does not solve the problem, but made the less severe headaches. If your eyes arent't the problem, your best option is to keep a diary food and write down everything you eat or drink and when you attack and where the pain and numbness and how severe it is and see if a pattern. Make sure to keep daily The doctor also. I know it's difficult, like when you have pain or numbness in the head, thinking of writing makes it worse, but try. it really helps doctor, and getting better is their main concern. Good luck!
