Although optical migraines do not have any specific definition, the general belief of an optical migraine, including visual disturbances is known as an "aura". The aura may come with severe headache, or not having any pain.
The migraines that come with an aura are more rarer than common migraines. Common migraines do not have aura, and may be enervating the victim of migraine. Typically, a patient suffering from vision disorders persist for 5-20 minutes, and rarely cause any permanent eye damage. The aura of course, vary from patient to patient and even from headache to head.
The appearance of an aura
The aura of migraine was associated with a lens usually occurs before the onset of migraine pain. May appear in different ways, including blind spots, flashing light or bright colors, zigzagging lines or other shapes. You can also include "floaters" which are very small objects that seem to float through the eye of a repetitive manner. These disorders can also cause strange dizziness and nausea, feeling confused, or a feeling of imbalance. These symptoms can occur in one or both eyes.
The optical migraine treatment
When someone suffers from optical migraines, the best mode of action is to lie down in a dark, quiet room with a cold compress over the eyes or forehead. Sleep is generally the best remedy for headaches, in addition, most of which also remove the aura. If someone suffers from frequent and intense optical migraines, it is best to consult a physician for prescription treatments.
