Can an LED optical mouse you blind?
The mouse was acting strangely ever since I cleaned (probably has a little water in it), so I took it apart this morning. I must unplug the cable from my first laptop, but being the idiot I am I end up watching the bright red light for a few minutes as I expected the mouse gut. My left eye was blurry and I have little of a migraine now. I know optical mice use red LED infrared should not be a problem, right? LED is a powerful enough to damage your eyes?
If you can see from your eye, then it can not be blind. No I think the LED is powerful enough anyway. You can get the eye blurred for a moment, but you can get just by looking at a bright bulb lasting light. You will be fine. The retina is a bit tired, that's all from the bright lights. And it is not infrared. Humans can not see infrared light. Visible red is greater in frequency and that's what you dazzled. His migraine naturally when exposed to bright light. Always protect your eyes first anyway!
